Cisco Cius Android Tablet Review

Cisco Cius TabletThe desire for a true business oriented Android Tablet has been a constant one since the very first device was released onto the market. Cisco decided to answer the call, and that answer is the Cisco Cius Android tablet. With the host of business oriented capabilities and dedicate systems the Cius has set the bar pretty high.

What’s So Great about The Cisco Cius?

It is a well known fact that Cisco primarily markets their electronics for business purposes. The addition of the Cius to their line-up allows them to provide one more great product for businesses world wide. This device is a 7-inch technological wonder that utilizes a high-resolution super VGA touch-screen as its display portion. It is fully capable of being integrated with Ciscos well-known business applications as well. The ability to work with files locally or in the Cloud is fully integrated as well.

The front mounted camera is designed to support 720p video capture at 30 fps. This is meant to allow for advanced video call capacity. The secondary rear facing camera is a 5 megapixel device that can be utilized for streaming video or for capturing images. Video conferencing is made crisper and easier to utilize due to the twin noise canceling microphones that are built into the device.

The options for usage of this device in business ventures continues with the optional HD station. This station comes equipped with a telephone handset, speakerphone, built-in USB ports, and an HD Display port. This station can turn the device into a modern day video phone with little effort and allow for much greater ease with video and audio conferencing.

Who Would Want This Device?

The Cisco Cius is definitely not a tablet device geared solely toward consumer electronics markets. It is meant to be utilized as a high-end business solution. While there may be cheaper methods of mimicking what this device does, these methods often include several different programs and external bits of hardware. The Cisco Cius internalizes all of these factors while providing several other uses for the device. The ability to create, edit, and share files and content which is stored both locally and in the Cloud is one of the best features of this device that has nothing to do with video conferencing in many instances. If a business, or even a freelance individual, desires a workhorse Android tablet that can provide multi-party video conferencing with little issue then this is the Android Tablet that may work best for them.
